Overview

Long-acting GH secretagogue. Provides sustained GH elevation through albumin conjugation (DAC), extending the half-life to 6-8 days. Frequently combined with Ipamorelin for synergistic effect.

The main appeal of CJC-1295 with DAC is practicality combined with sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation: by binding to serum albumin via the Drug Affinity Complex, its half-life extends to 6-8 days, allowing one weekly injection instead of multiple daily applications. It is sought for body recomposition, sleep quality, tissue recovery, and hormonal optimization in adults.

It has no approval as a medicine by the FDA, EMA, or ANVISA. In Brazil it is prescribed by compounding pharmacies as off-label use, usually in 8 to 12-week cycles, often combined with Ipamorelin to combine an acute pulse (GHRP) with tonic elevation (GHRH analog). WADA lists GHRH and analogs as substances prohibited in sport.

It was developed by ConjuChem as a modified GHRH(1-29) analog with a maleimido linker that conjugates in vivo to albumin. Unlike CJC-1295 without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29), it produces a prolonged GH plateau rather than physiological pulses, which increases side effects related to water retention and tingling.

Across the GH secretagogue landscape, CJC-1295 with DAC is the longest-acting GHRH analog: while sermorelin and Mod GRF 1-29 require multiple daily injections and tesamorelin is dosed once daily, the DAC version allows weekly injection — at the cost of losing the physiological pulsatile pattern. For that reason it is typically combined with a GHRP such as ipamorelin, GHRP-2, or hexarelin, or contrasted with oral MK-677 when convenience is the priority.
