Adamax
Also known as: Adamantyl-Semax
Molecular Identifiers
Molecular Formula
C50H69N11O11S
Molecular Weight
1032.23 Da
Overview
Enhanced Semax analog with an adamantane group addition. Exhibits superior BDNF upregulation compared to original Semax, with greater nootropic and neuroprotective potency. Improves cognitive function, focus, and memory.
Adamax draws interest as a nootropic with broader potency than Semax: the adamantyl group increases metabolic stability and blood-brain barrier crossing, resulting in stronger BDNF upregulation and a longer effect on focus, memory, and learning. It is also studied for its neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory action in the central nervous system.
It has no regulatory approval from any Western agency. It circulates through compounding pharmacies and research-use suppliers, usually as an intranasal or subcutaneous formulation, in short 2–4 week cycles to avoid tolerance. Reported doses are based on anecdotal use and extrapolation from Semax protocols — formal clinical trials of this analog remain scarce.
MEHFPGPAG Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-Ala-Gly-NH-adamantyl Modified peptide — Semax backbone (MEHFPGP) extended with Ala-Gly dipeptide and conjugated to an adamantyl group at the C-terminus, with N-terminal acetylation (modification inspired by Peptide 021)
